The London Garden

geraniums outsideYes there is a ‘garden’ of sorts in this central London apartment: three planters. Or window boxes.  They are two metres long and not very wide.

Two of them are outside on the public walkway which links our four apartments.  And the other is our private terrace facing south and bakingly hot.

When the sun shines. I feel as though it has rained every day since coming to London.

The white geraniums on the more public side of the house are too gorgeous. And that is because we have a gardening angel in our block. echiveras

The bloke upstairs has taken to a bit of midnight dead heading. He creeps down and takes care of my plants when I’m away. Lucky me.

And the difficult planter on the south side just hosts five echiveras. I can’t think what else to do out there as I’m always away. And it’s dry and hot.  There is a large crack in the planter which I don’t think I can repair, so desert plants it will have to be.

There are some planters near our home which I admire every time I go past.

Just a simple combination of green plants with a few heucheras and (I think) geums thrown in.

Morgan plantersThese planters are outside the eye wateringly expensive deli of Melrose and Morgan.

It’s definitely a store for window shopping and admiring the greenery outside. morgan planters 1
