Oh, weeding

This is my favourite weeding tool today. A large golfing umbrella. I’ve worked out that if I can get my whole body underneath I can weed happily for hours.

Well, maybe not happily. It’s so incredibly hot that everything outdoors is a bit of a chore.   But I had a bee in my bonnet about this vegetable garden.   I can’t water it if I’m watering weeds.   So I set myself the task of getting at least two quadrants done: the cabbage section and the swiss chard, and roots section.

And by 6pm I’m relieved to say I’m almost done.
