Technology old and new

potager structuresFrom the 19th to the 21st century in just a few clicks.

I was watching a programme about French gardens on the television and loved this one which had intriguing medieval structures.  Tomatoes and cucumbers are going to be trained up these sturdy poles.

The garden is at the Prieure Notre Dame D’Orsan in the Loire. It is a luxury hotel now, and were I an idle rich woman I’d definitely go and visit.

But I was watching and thinking, how am I going to get a picture of these wonderful ideas and try them out in my own potager? Answer. Point a digital camera at the screen and click. It’s scary how simple these things are.
