Half a foot of fun

IMG_9308Who would have thought the rain would have gone all the way to the top of the gauge? 150 mls of rain. Which is six inches. Half a foot. Bliss.   And I wasn’t even inconvenienced by being in it.

Back after a long nine days away and everything is moist and sparkling.   I was worried about the seedlings I kept in the shade of the calabert shed; but most of them are alive.   The santolina and gaura and sarriette cuttings are absolutely fine. And the little just-sown plants are sulking but may revive.   The mache is no more. I’ll have to sow more winter lettuce this week. seedlings

And the tomatoes are just bursting out of the garden: Jan picked a few kilos and that was just the ones that were threatening to fall to the ground.
