A spot of tourism

roses chalenconI took a few days off so I could show Gordon and Melissa around.  And Chalencon was a great hit.  Nothing like having a 10th centry perched village on your doorstep.

We climbed up the cobbles and explored the huge walls and gates and tiny alleys and paths.  The architecture is stunning, but so too is the ingenuity of the gardens.

There is very little space for any real planting. But I do love these roses growing outside the hotel. Fetching indeed.
