A cut flower garden in pictures
More flowers this week. But not from my plot.

I’m typing fast as there is a mighty thunderstorm about to hit and that means unplug the modem and hunker down and hope there’s rain.
I could do with a dose.
I went down to visit Andrew at his gorgeous home in the south of the Ardeche for a sneaky midweek treat.
And right now the cut flower garden is full on voluptuous glory.
So enjoy the flowers. And see if I can get them all uploaded before the lightning!
And here is my amazing dahlia that is growing larger than my head back here at home.

Not too shabby. That monster is called Emory Paul.

Just stunning – Andrew’s flowers & your mammoth dahlia!! Mine are lagging behind … or dead, do I am motivated to give them another go next year!! I hope you get rain but no lightning☺️

What a feast for the eyes! Dahlias seem to be able to break all records – height, flower size, number of petals… and get away with it. None for me this year, but there’s always NEXT year. And the best of all: you spell lightning correctly!!! So many people write “lightening”, which drives me ridiculously mad considering I’m French.

I am so relieved Christine that I was able to lighten your load by not writing it incorrectly!! Dahlias are the flowers that work without fuss so you can get on with the trickier things. Like growing good veg and coaxing the roses into a second flush.
