Water buttery

What do you call a joined up group of water butts? A buttery? A battery? Whatever they are called I now have a lovely collection.

Manu roared up at lunchtime today and drilled holes in the big old water butts, attached lengths of pipe and then siliconed the whole lot.   He even added two taps at the bottom just at the height of my watering cans.

So now when it rains (and it hasn’t done so for three weeks now) the water should fall from the roof of the potting shed into the first one and then overflow into three others.   Very pleased indeed.

Shame they are such a lurid blue.   But hey. Fifteen euros each from one of my favourite reclamation shops in Valence.
