The mountain in spring

1mountaintopThe last time you saw pictures of this particular path on our mountain, twas Christmas day.  Here is the view in spring. The grass has grown and will soon be harvested for winter feed.

It is dry here; no rain for two weeks and I can’t see any on the horizon.

That’s great for all the house guests. But it does mean they are put to work doing a bit of extra watering in the potager.

I have lots of shots of my mother and sister hard at work picking broad beans and radishes and salad. Merrianne is on twice daily salad picking duties.  And Jan is never far from the end of a hose.

But instead here is a shot of them on one of our walks. This one to the Chateau Colland.

You may gaze at the chateau in the distance, but my camera seems to be focused on the weird looking crane one of our neighbours is using to lift all the new tiles to the roof.  (I managed to crop it out of the picture when I uploaded it. You can see a teensy bit of it poking out of the right of the shot. Sorry about that, you now you wanted to see the crane.)

Country life. Always something going on.
