July flower bouquets

Just squeaked in with this month’s round up of my bouquets.

No wait. Thirty days have September, April, June and November. All the rest have thirty one, excepting February which is all alone…

I could have done this tomorrow.

But really. It feels rather poor to be waiting for the end of the month to show you what went out of the flower garden. (And try not to get too fixated on that manky leaf in the middle of the shot. I only just noticed.)

We are still enduring a heatwave and a huge lack of water. We have gone off our town water which is now so low that no one is permitted to water their potagers at all. And are back on our underground spring which has a bit left in the tank.

It actually has 13 cubic metres in the tank. But that has to last us until the end of summer now.

So admire these shots while we pray for rain.

These orange dahlias are marvellous with the deep red of the armaranth.

And sometimes I look out at the vegetable garden and wonder if I have enough for a dozen bouquets each week.

It’s a bit of a mixed bag. But somehow it worked.
