Forest treat

Yeehah, our first big crop of shrooms.   Look at this tremendous bowl of chanterelle mushrooms, collected from our forest.

We celebrated by eating mushroom omelettes with Dario for lunch.   The flavour is very delicate but meaty at the same time. The hard part is brushing the dirt from them, but we have been assured they dry well, so watch this space for the strings of mushrooms drying on the rafters.
