Busy
Artur may have snoozed the day away, but I took advantage of some rather heavy afternoon drizzle to sort out some of the potting shed staging.
I’m running out of room. Plants are growing like mad in every conceivable pot and tray.
I even made room to prick out some of this week’s seedling and get them up a size.
I’m most pleased that dill has germinated for me at long last. I can’t remember ever having a success with that seed.
And all of us who have lived in Russia will know that this herb is such an evovative taste and smell. Ubiquitious just about covers it. I love the taste.
And if all goes well, they will grow on and reach small plant size. I haven’t actually allocated a space for it in my very crowded beds. But for dill, I’ll find the room.
I sow most things in pots. Apart from peas and most broad beans. And parsnips and carrots. But only a few parsnips have germinated in the two beds I have allocated for these wonderful veg. But not a carrot. So I need to resow tomorrow. List time.

I’ve been making the dill-lemon salt form the “Gifts from the Garden” book. It’s my second favorite after lime-chili salt.
