fourth plinth roosterI am aware that people click onto my site and find no updates for days on end.

So in an attempt to appease the fans (I exaggerate – 20 of you look most days, and one day there were 155, wierd or what? it was on the 14th of March when I wrote about spuds) here are some images from London where I am for a bit.

It’s hardly gardening related, but this is the giant blue rooster standing on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square.

It’s 15 feet tall and was created by the German artist Katharina Fritsch and it made me laugh as I walked past.  DSC00418

Good thing I had my camera. Actually I went by earlier in the week en route to my bank to cash a tax return cheque (yippee) and didn’t have it with me.  So a return visit was in order.

When I’m in the garden it lives permanently in my back pocket.

chippingActually the best thing I saw on the day was the giant chipping machine at work in Regent’s Park.

Now that’s what I call sad. What is the term for a chipping machine spotter? Apart fromjust plain old sad.  You didn’t see the man stopping after he fed a huge branch into the mighty maw and look at me as if I were barking mad. Who takes pictures of chippers? Err, guilty as charged m’lud.
