A lick of paint

finished studioA whole day ahead with just one task: start the painting.   I had hoped to get the outdoor of the building’s first coat down today. But the wood is too damp from the rain. It needs a good dry out first.   So instead I donned my tatty painting clothes and started on the inside.

White undercoat for all the chip board on the north side of the studio. A second coat, and then some light green paint for the beams. It took all day.   And naturally I’m not going to have enough white paint for the top coat. Why, oh why didn’t I think about this when I drove past all the hardware stores yesterday? Never mind. I’ll do as much as I can and then replenish.   I want the north side all done so I can set up the trestles for the plants.   painting studio
