A surfeit of snow

Again? Does it have to snow again?

I can’t get my work done out there. But in case you were wondering where on earth I have been, this short note might help.

Actually I have been in London and Scotland and am only just back.

This is easily the snowiest winter we have had in ten years.

The only thing happening in the seed sowing factory right now is a bit of cavolo nero brassica seedlings germinating. A few broad beans shocked into a teensy bit of growth. And a cat snoring.

I’m frustrated.  But there’s plenty to do. but none of it fun. Grocery shopping and digging out a compost heap.

If this weather keeps up I’ll be forced to defrost the deep freezer and tidy my office.

You don’t want to see pictures of that.
