Flowers for the house

Too many vases, too little text.

Here is the spring green selection for this time of year: euphorbia wufennii, viburnum, tulips, white lilacs and the ubiquitous cow parsley.   I have made up my first big vase for the year.

The flowers are only just open.   I was thinking I would have to travel further down the road to get riper blooms, but these will do.

And I was going to bring in some branches of quince blossom. But I resisted. There’s such a lovely explosion of flowers for the first time that I dare not disturb.   The mighty pruning of earlier in the year seems to have done half the work.   Now let’s see if we get any fruit.   Fingers crossed.
