Autumn photo essay

It’s the most eye-wateringly beautiful time of year.  The mountains are blazing with yellow and gold and patches of red.  The oak trees are turning. And you get to see just where the field maples are hiding in the forest of trees.autumn and blue

And I am spending more time that is strictly necessary gazing at trees.

I do love autumn.

And before my prose turns even more purple, I thought I would just give you pictures today. The mountain in autumn.

And for those of you who have been reading this blog for a few years, you cannot miss my favourite tree. The mulberry on the lower terraces. It’s the last image on the page. Why, I’m positively Cezanne and Mont Sainte Victoire when it comes to snapping this amazing and venerable beast.  It needs to be seen in every season.
