An autumn walk
Count your blessings.
Isn’t this gorgeous? My walk back from the garage this week.
I could have opted for the replacement car while mine is getting its horn repaired (and rear brake light, and a new windscreen wiper).
Instead I had a heart singing plod through the forest back to the farm. And this is where you come out of the forest and look back towards Vernoux. One mighty church spire in the distance.
And then back into more forest, around some farms and home.
It was minus 1C when I started, but it had warmed up to a balmy 5C by the time I reached the house. No wind, all sunny, so after a brief second breakfast and a session annoying the cat, it was back to weeding the potager. Bliss.

It certainly made the chore of car repairs a delight.
