A curious solution
Don’t laugh. Last year I grew a second crop of brassicas and kept them in pots; thinking I would have autumn vegetables within easy reach.
But I didn’t factor the cabbage moth butterfly coming into the potting shed and laying eggs on most of the leaves.
It was a fiasco.
So this year I’m keeping up with the idea but with protection.
Up until this morning I had them under a complicated set of netting, but it was fiddly. And then late last night as I was about to drop off I thought of a solution.
A mosquito net. It’s a shame its turquoise, but it’s the only spare one that’s large enough to cover the dozens and dozens of plants underneath.
