Garden updates
Welcome to the distraction from the day job. Some people take to their hammocks to read books, or get blotto down the pub. But when I down tools I prefer to go hell for leisure in the garden. In this section you will find my daily update of the work in the garden and the farm; describing the fun of taming a 17 acre chestnut farm in the mountains of the Ardèche.
The Farm Tour section gives you an idea of the changes I have made over the years. What started in 1650 is still being worked on 365 years later. It’s reassuring to know I’m carrying on the tradition of pulling chestnut burrs out of my fingers and swearing at brambles, just like generations of farmers before me.
Have a look at the map at the bottom of the page to follow where each section is located.
