The season opening broad beans

The bliss of finding plump beans under all that foliage. I was planting out flower seedlings in the potager today (rudbeckias, tithonias, tall calendulas and a stray calendula neon that was left behind in the potting shed) when I spotted these beauties in the nearby bed.

Not a lot, but enough for make a tasty garnish with the greens tonight.
