Sit back and smell the roses
If only there was a scratch and sniff feature on these pages. I am assailed by the most wonderful scents right now. Roses both indoors and out. Lilies everywhere, and even the cosmos is trying to compete. I love it.
It’s Thursday so it’s market day. And this rose is actually for Madame Orisette, my favourite stall lady. I love to take her flowers as she has had a tough winter with a broken wrist.
I went out to the potting shed (urged on by Artur who wanted some attention quite early) and couldn’t help taking a shot of my latest new garden. It is always so hard to photograph it as the plants are tiny. But I am so pleased how it is coming along. I will need to move the phlomis in front – it’s too big – but the lavenders and cistus and santolinas are doing beautifully.
Right, enough gush. Time to go to market.
