Nature reclaiming the urban environment

Revenge, revenge. I love this tree; it is though it is reaching out to give the letter box a great big hug.

You will find this gem in west London just around the corner from my dear friend Angela’s house.  And it makes me laugh every time.

Some days I think it is witty, other days it is rather sinister.  But if you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, you just have to imagine it is Treebeard or one of his Ents, reclaiming the urban environment.
