A welcome return
Every picture in my (new) camera has a cat in view. Either full screen or peeping out of the corner.
I have spent the morning in the potager – weeding and tying in the runner beans and cucumbers. And fixing the courgettes so I can water them more deeply.
And I can happily say this is not cupboard love: Artur was so pleased to have me back. He has followed me about all the time I worked. Demanding a bit of attention at all times. And it’s not tick check either – I did. No parasites.
And for a cat in this heat, that has to be love.
The only thing that made him cross was I kept moving. And moving into the sun. So after a few hours of bleating at me he gave up and has gone into deep shade. But keeping one half closed eye on me at all times.
I meanwhile, have moved into deep shade too. Another batch of jostaberry jam. Beats standing out in the 30C sunshine and pruning brambles.
