The winter mooch

There now. Last day of January and it’s a snowy scene here on the farm.

I drove up last night with a touch of trepidation. But the snow only started falling as I did the last 10km drive up the mountain.

So I knew I had time enough to unload the suitcase and then drive back down and park closer to the road that gets ploughed.

I’m ‘over’ getting snowed in at the house and having to slide 300 metres down to the safety of a road that gets cleared.

This particular fall won’t last. It’s already melting.

But I thought you might like a bit of white and brrrrr.

And as anyone who lives in a cold climate will know. You have to be organised. Before I left last week I filled the wood trolleys here in the house and all is cosy and comforting.
