He’s back

Just when I thought it was safe to go back into the potager.  The mole rat is back.

Two fennel plants chewed. He has a taste for the exotics.

I actually went down to cut sunflowers. These are the monsters I want to see in the vegetable garden. Self sown sunflowers which are towering over my head.

But to reach them flowers I had to walk up the bed that has my green beans and fennel. And two of them were lying flat.

Grrrr.  Within a week I bet all the fennel will have been chewed from underneath.
