First cherries of the season

1merrianne and cherriesYay. Let the gluttony begin. Or in my sister’s case, show how incredibly flexible you are in search of perfectly ripe fruit.

But luckily we went for the Mont Godin circuit walk which takes us past the hamlet of Boucharnoux.  And there you can find cherries galore.  The trees are called the Communal Trees.  As they belong to everyone and no one.  So if you walk past and the trees are fruiting, you help yourself.

I wisely took plastic bags and a back pack and we filled them up.  And had enough to munch as we walked all the way round the mountain top.  Two hours round trip, scoffing all the way.
