A learning curve

A steep learning curve.   Artur is getting a lesson in etiquette at a ripe old age.   All his life he has gone through a door first.   Now he has to work out why this small door stays resolutely shut.

He first tried yowling at it.   Then glaring at me (The Death Stare), and finally just looking miserable on the step.

I have shown him how it works. I have removed the strong magnetic strip so he doesn’t have to head butt the perspex shutter very hard.   But he is not madly keen on a change to his lovely routine.

Still it was fun having Dario come over and cut a huge hole in my front door.   I promise to let you know how it goes.   I left him snoozing in a box of soft fleece around 5pm, and if all goes well he will leap lightly out the door some time in the night to go home to Jean Daniel’s.
